Aurora Grace Hays

Our beloved, Aurora Grace Hays, 17, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away on June 28, 2018. Our hearts are beyond broken; however, we know she is at peace in the presence of our loving Heavenly Father.

Aurora was born on April 9, 2001, in Modesto, California, to Jason Eric Hays and Charlotte Anne Bishop Hays. She is survived by both of her parents; her stepmother, Sarah Hays; her brothers, Travis Hays, Austin Perkins, Dylan Metz, True Hays, Tristen Hays, and stepbrother, Luke Merrill; as well as numerous extended family members.

Aurora was wise beyond her years. As a young child she won many awards, including the Science Olympiad and multiple academic awards. She actively participated in the Debate Team, Theater, Drama, and was a teacher's assistant. She had a thirst for knowledge and was an advocate for Suicide Prevention. Aurora was a defender of any person or animal who was oppressed.

While it is with broken hearts, we know this goodbye is only for a short while. Please join us in honoring Aurora's beautiful spirit this Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 3301 Meadows Boulevard, Castle Rock, Colorado, 80108.
