Aurline Osmond Emmett

Aurline Osmond Emmett, 96, passed away April 1, 2016 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She was born November 26, 1919 in Ogden, Utah to Charles and LaVoyle Peterson Osmond. She was the oldest of their four daughters. Aurline attended Weber College and the University of Southern California where she met her husband, Robert R Emmett who was in dental school. They married in 1945 and settled in Sherman Oaks, CA where their five children were born and raised. Aurline then went to work at UCLA as a counselor helping women return to the workforce. Later she transferred to UCLA Extension where she advised students in that program until she retired. After her husband died in 1989 she moved to Studio City, CA and then in 2009 she moved to Windcrest in Highlands Ranch where she lived until her death. Aurline is survived by her children, Bob Emmett (Bonnie), Julie Emmett Stark (Bob), Patricia Emmett Kittell, Shelley Emmett Ritchie (Pete), and Bill Emmett (Cathy); her sister Gayle Osmond Mercer (Dick); 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is beloved by her family and many friends. Her positive attitude, appreciation for anything done for her and graciousness will be missed. A Graveside service will be held at the Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills Cemetery in California on Saturday, April 9 at 9:00 am. A Memorial service will be held in Colorado at the LDS Church, 9800 B Foothills Blvd., Highlands Ranch, 80129 on Friday morning, April 15 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Windcrest Scholarship Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
