Arnell Bernard Coufal, age 73, passed away at his home in Littleton on April 22, 2020.
Born on July 17, 1946 in Denver, Colorado, to Arnold and Velda Coufal, he graduated from South High School in Denver. Arnell retired from the Denver Fire Department, where he was an engineer operating a pumper truck.
Arnell loved being a granddad to his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to laugh with his family and friends and was a member of BPOE Elks in Littleton, Colorado. Arnell enjoyed target shooting, golf, fishing and hunting. Somehow he always found a way to get hurt when enjoying his hobbies, even when playing ping pong. He was a genius at fixing almost anything.
Surviving Arnell is his wife of 55 years, Karen Sue (Hufnagel), children Chris Coufal and his wife, Debbie, Jeff Coufal and his wife, Jana, and Jacque Fennelly and her husband, Pete; grandchildren Joshua (Nicole), Justen (Kayla), and Mariah Coufal; Fharron (Ryan) Caswell; Paige Coufal, and Patrick (Mindy), Nickolas (Mikaylia) and Johnathon (Tiffany) Fennelly, Tabitha (Joey) Mochal; great grandchildren Carter, Sadie and Leah Coufal and Jaden Caswell; Daxton Mochal, Jesse, Delaney, Nathaniel, Embrie and Katalilly Fennelly; and McKenna and Kylie Bruster; and siblings Janean and Mark Wilson.
