Arlene Grace (Bott) Webb, 87, of Westminster, CO passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026
Known for her striking beauty and lovely singing voice, her intense love and compassion for her family was her truest virtue. Steadfast in her faith in the Lord God, she made sure to instill that faith in all who knew her – especially her family.
Born on May 23, 1939, in Denver, CO to Paul Joseph Bott and Eleanor Esther Elizabeth (Fantacone) Bott, Arlene grew up with a deep appreciation for family values and traditions. She was a very loving, loyal, and devoted daughter and sister.
Arlene attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic High School in the Italian-American parish neighborhood of North Denver. During that time, she dated John Webb from Denver’s North High School. They were married in 1958 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wheat Ridge and were blessed with five children over the years. During John’s career with the General Motors Company, the family was transferred across the U.S. from Denver to Oklahoma City, OK; Cincinnati, OH; Charleston, WV; and, finally back home to Colorado, where they settled in Arvada.
Throughout her life, Arlene dedicated herself to raising her loving family. She also found joy in painting ceramics, sewing, crafting, bowling, gardening, cooking, baking, and always singing. She made every holiday and important life event extra special by her caring heart and tender hands. Her energy and enthusiasm made her the best multi-tasker of all time, and she was often referred to as a “dynamo.”
Arlene’s family marveled at her inner strength that was remarkable and a life lesson to carry forward. The way that she went through hardships while somehow still finding joy and laughter with which to raise her children in a positive manner was inspiring. Naturally selfless, she was always willing to drop anything for any of her family when they were in need.
Whenever life felt difficult, Arlene would reveal a quote from her Nani: “Do what you can’t.” A special quote of her own was: “You can always find beauty no matter how bleak.” She was a beautiful wonder in this life and will be dearly missed until her loved ones join her again someday.
Arlene is survived by her daughters Linda Montel, Christina (Gerald) Goodsell, Dianna (John) Walt, and Melissa (Jason) Bell, as well as her daughter-in-law Lela (Michael) Webb and her sister Paula Beauto.
She was known as “Nani” to her grandchildren Nicholas Goodsell, Amanda (Webb) Owens, Jenna (Webb) Schmidt, Anthony Goodsell, Michael Webb II, Rebecca (Webb) Greenwood, Serena (Goodsell) Chalepah, Olivia Walt, Juliauna Bell, Alaina Bell, and Jaelynn Bell. She was Grand Nani to her great-grandchildren Averie, Razi, Kyle, Samantha, Marianne, Adalind, Logan, Noam, Zyus, Aza, Aiden, Aviya, and Baby Chalepah (expected in February). She was known as “Auntie Arlene” to her nephews Patrick, John, and Mitchell.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband John Webb, her son Michael Webb, her parents Paul and Eleanor Bott, and her brother John Bott.
