Arlen Sarian was born in Cairo, Egypt to Armenian parents. He moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1947 where he married Marion, the mother of his three children. She proceeded him in death at the age of 52. Arlen then attended night school for chemical engineering, eventually meeting and marrying his current wife, Carol, in 1985.
Arlen's second career was serving as an elder and pastor on the East Coast. He retired at the age of 67 and moved to Colorado where he spent the last 30 years of his life, serving God and his family and loving his life.
Arlen was an exemplary model of the Christian faith, and of embracing aging with gratitude and grace. He is lovingly survived by his three children and their spouses: Dave and Linda Sarian, Gary and Susan Hein, and Dan and Rebecca Sarian, along with his grandchildren and their spouses: Jessica and Steve Windle, Megan Sarian, Matt and Taylor Sarian, Haley and Brayden Wehr, Justin and Brianna Hein, Rebecca and Max Griffis, as well as seven great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
