Anthony D. DePinto

Tony, 78, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on December 5, 2014, at Exempla Lutheran Hospital with his family at his side. Anthony was born June 13, 1936 in North Denver, Colorado and lived in the area most of his life. He served in the United States Army, where he signed up to see the world, yet was assigned to Leavenworth, Kansas. He also proudly served 34 years in the Denver Police Force, until his retirement in 1997. In his free time, Tony enjoyed time well spent with his family and friends and enjoyed cheering for the Denver Broncos, gardening, and fishing. He was a parishioner at Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Elaine; sister, Anna Lou; children, Gary (Geralyn) of Austin, Texas, Ken (Diane) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Janice (Todd Sievers) of Littleton, Colorado; and grandchildren, Gary, Jr., David, Rose, Rebecca, Eric (Claire) and Andrew DePinto, and Ryan and Mackenzie Sievers. Viewing will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014, from 4-7 PM, with Tony's family present to receive friends from 5-7 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 10, 2014, 1 PM, at Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church, 7555 Grant Place, Arvada, Colorado. Interment with military honors will immediately follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 West 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. A gathering of family and friends to share memories will be at the parish hall at Shrine of St. Anne after the Interment ceremonies.
