Annie Trujillo

February 21, 1922 — December 22, 2014

Annie (Gallegos) Trujillo, 92, of Centennial passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014. She was born in Dilia, New Mexico on February 21, 1922 to the late Abran and Tomisita Gallegos. Annie was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Paul, mother, Tomisita Bustamante Gallegos, father, Abran Gallegos, sisters Tillie Rael, Margaret Mestas, Emma Keller, Mary Quayle, Sophie Zarate and brothers Jose Gallegos, Kenneth Gallegos, Thomas Gallegos, Tony Gallegos and son-in-law Marvin Olson. She is survived by her two daughters, Helen Olson, Olivia Grogan and her husband, Matthew, of Littleton and son Ramon Trujillo of Lakewood. Annie was also blessed by seven grandchildren Edwin Olson (Tami), Margaret Barry, Elizabeth Olson, Patrick Hanlon (Leah), Lori Hampton (Bob), Jason Trujillo and Justin Trujillo; twelve great grandchildren Trevor Olson, Joel Fightmaster (Samantha), Nicholas Olson, Tommy Barry, Sarah Olson Higgins (Brian), Andrew Chavez (Cassandra), Daniel Olson, Morgan Hanlon, Marisa Hanlon, Alexa Hampton, Anna Hampton and Audrey Hampton; ten great-great grandchildren Dylan and Caden Fightmaster, Nicholas, Jordan & Sandin Olson, Grace Wilkens, Tommy, Lillian & Jude Barry and Kamryn & Kylah Higgins and Lennix Chavez. She is also survived by a sister, Josephine Rivera of Littleton, CO and numerous nieces and nephews. Annie was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed sewing, ceramics and embroidery and recently took up painting at Holly Creek Christian Living Retirement Home where she lived until her death. She was a member of the Rosettes Circle at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denver which she attended. Visitation will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 1:00-4:00 PM. Rosary will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, Colorado on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Private inurnment will be held at Fort Logan at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Annie's name to Mother Cabrini Shrine, 20189 Cabrini Boulevard, Golden, Colorado 80401.
