Anne Marie Feely

April 14, 1953 — January 23, 2025

Anne Marie Feely was born on April 14, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio. She died on January 23, 2025, at home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, at the age of 71. Anne completed high school at Alter High School in Omaha, Nebraska. She received both her BA and MSW at the University of Denver where she met her husband of 48 years, Gene Toews. Anne worked as a Clinical Social Worker at the St. Lukes Hospital Alcoholism Recovery Unit, at Bethesda Hospital, and in private therapy practice. Her passion was working to help others recover from their drug and alcohol addictions, working with their families, and helping those who suffered from eating disorders.


Anne followed a deep spiritual path throughout her life, which guided her in her marriage, through raising her 3 children, and being a grandmother to her 3 granddaughters. She had a significant mystical side to her which helped sustain her through life’s ups and downs. Anne was a deeply loving, generous, and kind woman. She was very empathetic, brilliant, and fully engaged in the joys of life. She was witty with a touch of sarcasm. Anne could be described as nonjudgmental and accepting of others and their beliefs. She loved working out at the Highlands Ranch Rec Center with her friends. She loved reading and knitting.


Anne loved her family deeply and is survived by her husband, Gene, two daughters Ariel and Erin, and a son Shawn. She has three granddaughters, Sophia, Rosie, and Eden. She has two sons-in-law, Chuck (Ariel) and Alan (Erin). She is also survived by her brother, Michael, and his wife Janet, as well as several cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annette (LaTourette) Feely and father, James Feely. Anne had numerous friends with whom she deeply enjoyed sharing her life. She wishes all much joy and happiness.


Anne will be honored at a Celebration of Life Service attended by close family and friends. She will be interred at the Horan and McConaty Memorial Gardens in Centennial, Colorado. Donations in her name can be made to Namaste Hospice, 5161 E Arapahoe Rd, Suite 320, Centennial, Colorado 80122.
