Anna Bell Zimmerman

Anna Bell Zimmerman passed away peacefully in her home at age 100 on February 16, 2026. She was born on November 8th, 1925 in Meadow, Texas to parents Leslie and Audrey Brooks. She was one of 5 children. Her siblings were Jesse and Bessie (twins), Robert (Corky) and Walter. She and her sister Bessie moved to the Denver area in 1944 where she later met and married her husband, Fred, on December 28th, 1951. They were married for 66 years when he passed away. They had one daughter, Debbie, who was born 1955.

She was an avid sports fan and played basketball for many years when she was young and continued to follow sports and play golf. She loved fishing and biking. She also was very active with reading, knitting, sewing and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dave Newberg as well as 3 granddaughters, Taffe, Ivy and Krysta and 2 great-grandsons, Nolan and Elijah. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
