We lost one of the most wonderful and remarkable women to have lived upon this earth. Every aspect of our lives was made richer by her kind heart, zest for life, explorer's soul, and limitless patience. Some people wear down in mind and spirit as the years pass, but she was of the temper that galloped to the end. As a young girl, Anna Mary and her family moved many times to different parts of Northern Colorado as they tended crops for various famers before settling in Denver in 1939. She married Frank F. Riedel in Denver, Colorado on January 18, 1947, and they were blessed to share nearly 62 years together. Anna Mary Riedel will be forever remembered and always missed. She is survived by 4 children: Kenneth, Karen Frey and her husband Dave, Keary, and John and his wife Karol; grandchildren Jeff Frey, Scott Frey and his wife Sasha, Angie Huff and her husband Zack, Heather Riedel, Mattie Robbins, Beth Lindeman, Chemi Riedel and Kie Riedel; 9 great grandchildren Bryar, Kaden and Rylei Robbins, Brennan and Cameron Lindeman, Gavin and Evelynn Huff, and Kira and Alex Frey; 1 brother Mike Steinbach and his wife Nita; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank just one day shy of their 62nd anniversary; and several siblings. Visitation Monday, June 2, 5-8 PM; Funeral Service Tuesday, June 3, 1 PM with viewing one hour prior, all at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood. She will be laid to rest privately with her husband Frank in Fort Logan National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Inter-Faith Task Force, 3370 S Irving Street, Englewood, CO 80110. Please share your memories of Anna Mary by selecting the guestbook link below.
