Anna Cipriana Garza

Anna Garza, beloved partner and sister, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026 in Commerce City. She was 71 years old. Anna was born on January 30, 1955, in Robstown, Texas, to the late Jose and Rumalda (Rosalez) Garza. She grew up and attended schools in Texas and Colorado. Anna worked at Condor Snacks as a forklift operator for most of her life. It was during this time she met her lifelong partner, Candi.

Family and friends were extremely important in Anna's life. Anna love to cook and made the best green chili in town! Anna really looked forward to family events like barbeques, holidays and birthdays. No one could prepare and organize an event like Anna. Due to Anna's kind, caring and loving personality, she had an enormous circle of friends.

Anna is survived to her devoted partner, Candi; siblings, Vicki Lara of Greeley, CO, Joe Garza (Judy) of Gladstone, MO, Janie Clark (Ed) of Scottsdale, AZ, Josie Alvarez of Greeley, CO, Lollie Garza of Denver, Dee Garza of Thornton, CO, and Sylvia Garza, also of Thornton. Other survivors include several loving and wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Rosalez, Lee Rosalez  and sister, Mary Luna. 

A visitation and Rosary will take place Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 5:00pm -7:00pm at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton, CO 80229. A Celebration of Life Event will take place August 10, 2026 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at The American Legion, 5421 E. 71st. Avenue, Commerce City, CO 80022. The theme for the Celebration of Life will be Broncos and Nuggets attire.
