Ann Malcolm Robinson Clarke

November 19, 1939 — May 17, 2025

Ann Clarke, beloved wife and mother to her husband, Allan of Parker, and her three children, Thomas, Emilie, and Graham, passed away peacefully on May 17th, after an extended illness, leaving a void her family cannot possibly fill.

Ann was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1939 to Bruce and Sheila Robinson. She attended schools in NY, NY and Greenwich, CT before attending Palm Beach Junior College and achieving her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. After finding the man of her dreams, she and Allan eloped and married in 1957, and they were the true definition of a loving partnership. Their travels and business opportunities took them all over the country, most notably to Florida, Vermont, Montana, Wyoming and, finally, Colorado.

Ann retired from her medical software teaching and sales job in 2000, where she continued to be an avid reader & writer, a talented knitter, and an active member of her “Lunch with the Ladies” and Bunco communities. She volunteered at the local hospital gift shop and was the “anchor” and loving caregiver to her husband of 68 years.

Ann was a devoted mother to son Thomas and wife Donna of Colorado Springs, daughter Emilie of Denver and son Graham and wife Patty of Centennial. Her kids were her pride and joy. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided, including during the lively discussions/arguments with Tom, butting heads with Emilie, and telling Graham to “knock it off!”

Ann’s kind and loving spirit was infectious. She was a great listener and conversations with her brought out her warm, caring, sparkling nature. Her cat’s names were Yin and Yang, which is the symbol of Tao - the underlying principle of harmony in the universe. Here is the Tao of Ann: Love the life you have. Face challenges head on. Remember to smile. Enjoy a good book. Eat well. And laugh with those you love the most!

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her half-brother, Bruce II, and her daughter-in-law Donna Ferris. She is survived by her husband, Allan, her sister, Carole, her three children, eight grandchildren - (Thomas) Kelsey, Kyrene, Ian, Allana, Catriona, (Emilie) Lexie, (Graham) Hayden and Cameron, and one great grandchild, Lincoln (Kyrene). Each of them will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

Ann’s Celebration of Life is at 1pm June 20th at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E County Line Road in Centennial, with a High Tea reception afterwards at the home of Graham & Patty Clarke, 3643 E Phillips Circle, Centennial, CO. Donations to the charity of your choice in her name are greatly appreciated.
