Alwina Vivian Bane

Beloved Wife, Mom, Granny, Sister and Friend, passed away September 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by her brother Gordon, Mother Vivian Smith and Father Donald Smith. Survived by her husband DeWayne Bane, son Bruce Bane (Anita) and daughters Tammy Schermerhorn, Debbie Coyle (Leon) and Sandie Smaldone (Steven) along with 11 grandchildren Aaron and Laura Bane; Tyler (Ruth), Zach (Jessica) and Shelby Coyle; Jaci and Krysti Schermerhorn; Cassidy, Emily, Bailee and Rocco Smaldone. She also had 3 great grandchildren Emma and Ava Coyle and Knox Schermerhorn, She is also survived by her Sister Yvonne Cureton. Alwina was born in Fort Collins, CO. She attended country school in Nathrop until the 8th grade and graduated from Buena Vista High School. She married DeWayne Bane in 1960 and delivered all four children in Salida, CO. They lived in Buena Vista until 1974 when they moved to their present home in Lakewood, CO. Memorial service will be held at Green Mountain United Methodist Church, 12755 W. Cedar Dr., Lakewood, CO. on Friday October 3, 2014 at 1:30 pm. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall at the church.
