Alix Gassmann Main, 83, peacefully passed away at home Thursday October 16, 2014. Born in 1931 in Strasbourg, France, Alix moved to Algiers, Algeria and then to Denver, Colorado in 1949. Alix married Philip Main in 1957 who preceded her in death. Together Alix and Philip owned and operated the Holy Cat Restaurant in Georgetown and Arapaho Basin Lodge in in Summit County. Alix moved back to Denver in 1995 and finished her illustrious career as a case processor at the Metropolitan Tribunal with Archdiocese of Denver. Alix was the beloved mother of Claire Elizabeth (deceased), Marc, Mia, Marie (Leni), John, Katya, Valerie and Matthew, 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Celebration of Life (Funeral) Services will be held October 22, 2014: 10:30 am at Christ on the Mountain Catholic Church, 13922 W Utah Avenue Lakewood. Visitation will be held Tuesday October 21, 2014 5-7 at Horan and McConaty 3101 S. Wadsworth Lakewood.
