Alita Davis Pirkopf

Alita Pirkopf, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on November 26, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on November 3, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI. Alita, a graduate of Middlebury College with a master’s degree from the University of Denver, dedicated her life to the art of poetry and writing, leaving behind a legacy of words that touched the hearts of many.

 Alita is survived by her loving sons, John (Meghan) and Karl (Laurie) and grandchildren Oskar and Maeve.

 In addition to her family, Alita leaves behind a community of friends and admirers who were touched by her grace, curiosity, and compassion. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through her poetry, writing and the memories shared with those who knew her.

 A celebration will be held to honor Alita's life and contributions. Details will be shared when available. 

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Alita's memory, celebrating her love for humanity and the arts.
