Alice V. Trujillo

September 11, 1932 — February 26, 2016

Alice Valenzula Trujillo joined her loving husband Lucas in heaven on 2/26/16. She was tragically taken too early from her family and friends, as we had expected to see her dancing well into her 100's. Alice was born in Uvalde, Texas to Pablo and Feliz Valenzula on September 11, 1932. She was the oldest of 14 children. Her family moved to Brighton, Colorado where she met the love of her life, Lucas Patrick Trujillo. They were married on September 17, 1955. After raising her five children, Alice worked for the Denver Public Schools as a teacher assistant. She was able to help the children who needed her bilingual skills and loved sharing stories about the children. Those of you who know Alice, will also know her story of how important education was to her. Her true passion was spending time with family and friends. She dedicated her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. She was generous and giving throughout her life and would go out of her way to make things easier for those around her. Many a meal was shared with family and friends and there was always room for one more at the table. Alice and Lucas never hesitated to open their home to those who needed a place to stay for extended periods of time. Our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend will be missed…we are comforted knowing that she is with Lucas and they are dancing together again as only the two of them could!
