Alexander Collins

A Voice Remembered . . .

Alex was a talented artist, a loving son who struggled with mental illness, and drug abuse. He died Sunday evening October 2, 2022. He is at peace now, finally free. Alex grew up in Genesee and Evergreen in the beautiful Colorado mountains. He attended Ralston Elementary School, Evergreen High School, Red Rocks Community College and the Art Institute of Colorado. He is survived by his loving parents Barbara Merrifield Collins of Castle Rock and Timothy J. Collins of Genesee, and devoted brother Robert Merrifield Collins of Boulder, Colorado. A private family service will be held.

The family would like to offer Special thanks and acknowledgement to The Second Chance Center in Aurora, Colorado and to the generous and persistent efforts of the ADMIT ( Arapahoe Diverts the Mentally Ill for Treatment) Program in Arapahoe County.
