Alec Unzueta passed away on February 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and a spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was truly a heart of gold—admired by many and loved deeply by so many more.

Alec was the beloved son of John Unzueta and Karen Jacobson, and a cherished brother to Matthew Unzueta. Family meant everything to Alec, and the bond he shared with them was unbreakable.

He had a deep love for Colorado sports and could always be found cheering on his favorite teams—the Denver Broncos, the Colorado Rockies, and the Denver Nuggets. Whether it was football Sundays, summer nights watching baseball, or basketball season excitement, Alec’s passion for the game was infectious. His enthusiasm brought people together and created countless memories with friends and family.

More than anything, Alec will be remembered for his kindness, his warm smile, and the genuine way he made others feel valued and seen. Anyone who met him admired his character and felt the sincerity of his heart. He had a rare gift for connection and left a lasting impression wherever he went.

Though his time here was far too short, Alec’s love, laughter, and light will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Alec's life will be held 11:30am, Friday, February 27, 2025 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Chapel, 7577 W. 80th Avenue in Arvada. A Reception Gathering will follow, also at Horan & McConaty.
