Albert Joseph Frainier, Jr., 80, was born in Buffalo, New York and lived in Denver for over 40 years. He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 with his twin brother, Richard, and served honorably for 22 years. He retired as a Lieutenant Commander. He was a fighter pilot in the Korean War and was highly decorated for is service including the Distinguished Flying Cross. Loving husband to Dorothy and loving friend to LaVonn Cristie. He is survived by 8 children Ann Evans, Kathryn (Gary) Pachal, Dorothy (Gary) Shackleton, Albert Frainier, III, Michele (Tod) Zeigler, Stephanie (Chris) Harrison, Michael (Tamara) Frainier, Carolyn Frainier; 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation Tuesday 4:00-6:00 PM, Rosary 6:00-7:00PM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Funeral Mass Wednesday 10:00AM, Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Notre Dame Catholic School at 2165 S. Zenobia Street, Denver, 80219.
