Aidan Kerr Hamilton died on September 21, 2026, in Oxford, Mississippi. He was born on January 4, 2008, in Chicago, Illinois, and lived a life marked by warmth, energy, friendship, and a deep love for the outdoors.

Aidan was a 2026 graduate of Cherry Creek High School and attended the University of Mississippi. During his school years, he threw himself into the communities and activities he loved, taking part in the CCHS Swim Team, the CCHS Climbing Team, and the CCHS Chamber Orchestra. These pursuits reflected the many sides of who he was: disciplined, adventurous, talented, and fully engaged in the world around him.

He loved the outdoors and found joy in hiking and backpacking, camping, climbing, and skiing. He was also involved in Boy Scouts, another expression of his adventurous spirit and love of being outside. Aidan lived in Bentonville, Arkansas, for a time, carrying with him the experiences and friendships that shaped his life along the way. He was also an avid Cubs fan, bringing the same loyalty and enthusiasm to his team that he brought to the people and interests he cherished.

More than anything, Aidan will be remembered for the way he made others feel. He was caring and loving, always upbeat, and his friends were very important to him. He was described as the “embodiment of a text or call away,” a beautiful reflection of his generous heart and the steady presence he offered to those around him. He gave comfort simply by being himself—available, kind, and ready to show up.

Aidan is survived by his mother, Kathie Hamilton, and his father, Peter Hamilton. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother, Liam Hamilton (Elizabeth Holdberg) and by his sister, Grace Hamilton (Ben Carlson). In the hearts of his family and friends, his love, encouragement, and bright spirit will remain close always.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation - Southeast Denver/Aurora, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, Colorado 80014. A second visitation will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E Hampden Ave, Cherry Hills Village, Colorado 80113. A Celebration of Life will follow there from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A reception will then be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at ViewHouse, 7101 S Clinton St, Centennial, Colorado 80112.

Aidan’s life was filled with connection, movement, music, laughter, and love. He will be deeply missed and tenderly remembered by all who knew him.
