A’emalemalo Puna Gasologa

A’emalemalo Puna Gasologa, 59, of Aurora Colorado, died June 28, 2025, at the University Hospital of Colorado from a combined heart attack and stroke.

He was born on August 19, 1965, to Puna Evile Gasologa and Talama Tomanogi Gasologa in Faga’itua, American Samoa.

A’e attended Faga’itua High School where he graduated in 1984. After High School A’e stayed in the Village of Faga’itua supporting his family taking care of the land.

A’e left American Samoa to live with his sister Seulupe, in Nanakuli Hawaii for a short period of time and then he proceeded to move to Texas to join the oil rigs with his late brother Mase. After a few years in Texas A’e wanted to make a change and decided to move to Aurora Colorado where he resided for the remainder of his life with his sister Folauilagilelei her husband Faauli Faauli and their family.

A'e was a dedicated hard worker as a puller for Acme Distribution under a contract for Crocs footwear and automotive batteries for over 10 years and transitioned into working for Milgard Windows for over 12 years.

He was avid for playing pool, watching movies and sports, hanging out with his family and chilling in the garage. A’e was a very simple man that never asked for much. He enjoyed his life to the fullest no matter what anyone would say. As long as he had his family and his ganja he was happy!!!

A’e is survived by his sisters Falili Mataele, Folauilagilelei Faauli, Teuila Matiseni, Seulupe Namulauti and Faivaai Fialani Irvin along with many of his nieces and nephews who he all loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Puna Evile Gasologa and Talama Tomanogi Gasologa and his siblings Evile Puna Gasologa, Toetu Puna, Ofelia Fitimase, Mase Puna, Fuifui Gasologa, Kalauna Puna and Afua Mariner.

Funeral services will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Aurora on July 17, 2025, at 11am with the Senior Pastor Faauli Faauli officiating.

The reception will follow at 1pm in the Horan & McConaty Family Hall.
