Adela Jean Rice came into the world on April 30th, 1984 and she has been defying odds and doing things her way ever since. On July 31st, 2024 she left us with 40 full years memories.
She lived a life full of curiosity, laughter, music and an absolute genuine love for her friends and family. She was a lifelong Thomas Jefferson High School Spartan, a Special Olympian, and an avid sports fan.
She loved babies and many daily phone calls to her loved ones, and asking what you had for dinner. She is survived by her grammy Gloria Markley, her mommy Janet Markley Rice, her daddy Gene Rice, her sister Tina Thomas (Jonathan), her brother Wesley Rice (Sarah), her nephews Caiden and Ezra, a host of cousins, and countless friends from everywhere she ever went. She is proceeded in death by her grandparents Robert Markley, Kathryn Rice and Eugene W. Rice, her uncles Daniel Markely and Daniel Rice. In her memory we ask that you share your favorite Adela stories often and with joy.
Funeral will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Thursday, August 8th, with visitation at 10 a.m. and service at 10:30 with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Denver Special Olympics.
