Adam Kent Asbury, 50, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Englewood, CO. He was born August 30, 1973, in Topeka, Kansas.
Adam graduated from Topeka West High School and Kansas State University.
After escaping college with a diploma, Adam nailed his interview and went on to a very long and successful 24-year career at AT&T, continuing to impress and surprise even those closest to him. Adam’s greatest love was his son (Tommy) and spending time with him meant everything. He loved attending all his sporting events, weekends in Breckenridge or visiting local skate parks. He was an avid golfer, that had not finished a round in some time, yet enjoyed spending that time with his friends. Adam had a passion for all things Kansas State Wildcats and the Kansas City Chiefs, which was only rivaled by his extreme dislike for mythical birds and donkeys. Adam absolutely loved live music and a good sweat, often found attending concerts at Red Rocks in the summer enjoying the long walk up the stairs and barely dancing. One thing for certain, Adam lived life his way and in line with the words of Jerry Garcia “I’ve opted for fun in this lifetime”, his kind heart, infectious love and laughter will be forever missed.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Yates Asbury, and nephew, Tanner Asbury. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Kent Asbury and Clara Doll Asbury, and his brother Joshua Thomas Asbury.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Horan & McConaty Funeral, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.
