Terezinha "Lis" Campbell

Terezinha (Lis) Campbell, age 77, passed away October 1 in Denver Colorado.

Lis was born November 11, 1944, to the late Alda and Gaudencio Caravalho in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Prior to retirement, she worked many years teaching Portuguese at the United States Department of State’s Foreign Language Training and as an excellent salesperson in retail clothing.

In her younger years she was Miss Brazilia. The song "The Girl from Epanima was written about her by the famous Brazilian song writer Antonio Carlos Jobin.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son Adrien Campbell, her daughter-in-law Kristi Campbell, granddaughters Sophia and Summer, and longtime partner of many years Richard (Dick) Smith.
