Mrs. Sandra “Sandi” Lee Sullivan (née Fox) died at home on August 6, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado at the age of 75.

Sandi is survived by her husband Daniel P. Sullivan; children, Colleen Trask (Robert) of Eureka, Missouri, Meg Burgwald (Jake) of Lake Elmo, Minnesota; siblings, Tom Fox (Laurie) of New Ulm, Minnesota, Dave Fox (Ruth) of Sanborn, Minnesota, and Mark Fox (Pam) of Slayton, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Margaret Fox and her brother James Fox, all of Sanborn, Minnesota.

Sandi was born in 1944 and spent her life living in Minnesota, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Arizona and Colorado. She graduated from The College of Saint Teresa in 1966 with a degree in Elementary Education. She dedicated over 25 years of her life as an elementary school teacher in Orono, Minnesota, Conroe, Texas, Allen, Texas, and Aurora, Illinois. She served as the academic credentials evaluator at the Community College of Aurora, Colorado. In addition to being a candidate for Teacher of the Year in Texas; she was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa (Gamma Nu Chapter) International Honorary Sorority for Women Educators, Texas State Teachers Association, Association of Texas Professional Educators, and American Association of University Women.

She was married to her loving husband, Dan, for 53 years and raised 2 wonderful daughters. She will be remembered for her amazing talent and creativity. All of her “hobbies” could have been careers. She was an amazing gourmet cook, seamstress, and interior decorator. Besides her “hobbies” she loved golfing, traveling, shopping, reading on her deck with a glass of lemonade, and keeping up with the successes of her 5 grandchildren.

A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 am on August 19, 2020 at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church with interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 1:00pm.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sandi’s life, but social distancing and masks will be required. In lieu of flowers and in recognition of her life as a teacher, please send donations to Our Lady of Loreto Parish School at 18000 East Arapahoe Road, Foxfield, Colorado 80016. The family would like to thank the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Specialist at National Jewish Hospital and the caregivers at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care.
