Robert Raymond Notz was born in Chicago on June 3, 1943 and died on October 15, 2020.

Son of Raymond F. Notz and Stella Irene Notz. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Loreen (nee Zuravle), son Michael R. Notz, and daughter Karen Woods (Charles Woods); grandchildren are Amanda, Hailey, and Zachary Woods. He is also survived by brother-in-law Joe Zuravle Jr. (Doreen), Joe Zuravle III, Jessica Kordosky (Zach), J. Zachary Zuravle, and two sisters plus nieces and nephews.

He graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1965, and an MBA in 1967. He served 6 years in the Army Reserves.

He began his 32 year career at Proctor & Gamble's Chicago plant and retired from Product Development in Cincinnati, Ohio. He held multiple patents.

Robert traveled extensively, with Africa becoming his passion. He was an avid golfer and horseman, and his Tennessee Walking horse, Red, kept him fully engaged. He loved good food, good wine, and good beer--which began his homebrewing hobby. English Chocolate Labrador Retrievers were his companions and he loved each one as only a dog owner can--with total commitment and a sense of humor.

He supported the Smithsonian, the World Wildfire Fund, Sierra Club, Cheetah Conservation Fund, and The Wild Animal Sanctuary of Colorado; Robert was a charter member of the Museum of the American Indian as well.

Robert resided in Bell Mountain Ranch for 21 years and served on the Homeowner's Association, Metropolitan Board and Design Review Committee.

A private service will be held at the Rocky Mountain Memorial Park Cremation Gardens, and a Celebration of Life will be held in June of 2021.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of his charities.
