Tiffany Shannon Guthrie, 34, passed away peacefully on November 24th at University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. Tiffany was born March 11, 1983 to Nancy and Rick Guthrie at Swedish Hospital in Denver, Colorado; which she called home her entire life.

She is survived by her mother Nancy Brown, stepfather Joel Brown, father Rick Guthrie and her loving fiance Mike McKisson. Along with Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. Tiffany also leaves behind her ill-tempered cat Chloe and newly adopted, wood chip eating Pointer Willie.

From a young age Tiffany loved and excelled at volleyball; earning her a scholarship to Radford University. Where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She continued to play weekly throughout her life. Tiffany’s professional passion was Nursing and she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Regis University in Denver, where she was continuing her education in pursuit of her Masters Degree in Nursing. Over the last ten years, Tiffany was able to lessen the pain and ease the suffering of countless patients at Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center where she worked as both a Floor Nurse and Nurse Manager.

Tiffany had beautiful green eyes and a quirky, mischievous smile which would light up every room she entered. She cherished holidays at home with her family who she loved so much. She loved traveling with friends and family; beaches being a particular favorite. She recently returned from her dream vacation throughout the great cities of Italy and the Amalfi Coast.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the staff at University of Colorado Neuro Intensive Care Unit for their dedication and kindness over the last 39 days of our dear Tiffany’s life. In death, as in life, Tiffany has decided to help ease the suffering of others by donating her body to scientific research. Tiffany was always thinking of others.
