Obituary

Patricia F. Suranyi, 76, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017. She was born on March 1, 1941 to Henry and Charlotte Gordon in Worland, Wyoming. Patty graduated from Natrona County High School in 1958 and attended the University of Wyoming. In 1959, Pat married Richard “Dick” Suranyi. Dick’s job gave them the opportunity to travel around the world and live in different parts of the country with favorites including Amarillo, Texas, Casper, Wyoming, Jackson Hole, Wyoming and finally Denver, Colorado.

Patty worked various jobs including coordinating fashion shows for the prestigious Bergdorf Goodman in Amarillo, Texas, Customer Service Representative for Dish Network and was an avid volunteer for National Jewish Hospital. Patty enjoyed entertaining and hosting friends and family, but she truly loved raising her three children and being an amazing grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Charlotte Gordon, her husband Richard, her daughter Deborah Tucker and her grandson, Kyle Remilong. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Gordon (Carol); her son John Suranyi (Courtney) and his children, Logan and Morgan; and her daughter, Jill Suranyi, and her daughter Allison Knigge (Tyler) and her son Jayce.

Services will be held at Cherry Hills Community Church on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Denver Hospice, 501 S. Cherry St. #700, Denver, CO 80246-1328 or thedenverhospice.org.
