Virginia (Ginny) Byrne passed away peacefully in her home at Someren Glen, August 11, 2017 in Centennial, Colorado. She married Robert (Bob) Byrne on May 9,1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bob passed away on February 9, 1998.

Ginny is survived by her son Robert Byrne (wife - Martha), of Seattle, Washington, daughter Peg Heinz (husband - Steve), of Lone Tree, Colorado, grandchildren Meghan (husband - Luke Smith), Bryan Heinz (wife - Kelly), Corey Heinz, and Chris Heinz (wife - Meg). She has 4 great grandchildren Seamus Smith, Rhett, Sadie and Deklyn Heinz. Ginny is proceeded in death by her 3 sisters, Dorthy, Louise, Cletys and granddaughter Amanda Byrne.

Ginny was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She lived in that area until she grew up and married Robert Byrne. The War came and her husband joined the Navy., thus moving to the South. From there they went to Pennsylvania and eventually to Saginaw, Michigan. She worked as a social worker for 17 years in Saginaw, Michigan. Before and after working for the state, she volunteered with special needs children, nursing homes, blood banks and First Congregational Church. In September 2002, Ginny moved to Centennial, Colorado to be near her grandchildren. She was very active in CHCC and her place of residence.

A Memorial service will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cherry Hills Community Church (in the Chapel), 3900 Grave Boulevard, Highlands Ranch, 80126 with reception to follow. Following the reception, a Graveside Service will be at 2pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery "A", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver. The family invites everyone to a Reception following the Graveside at the home of Peg and Steve Heinz at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ginny's honor to Special Olympics Save Our Youth- Denver, Colorado Easter Seals.
