Donald Edward Paull, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, born March 22, 1934, passed away this Father's Day, June 18, 2017, in Littleton, Colorado. His loving wife of over 6o years, Carol Paull, his children, Les, Kim, & David Paull, and his four grandchildren celebrate his life's grand adventure as we mourn his passing. He will be so greatly missed.
Don Paull is survived by the love of his life, Carol Jean Larson Paull; his children: Les Alan Paull (Amy); Kimberly Sue Paull McCarty; David Bradford Paull; and his four grandchildren: Ryan Marshall Paull; Kaitlin Nicole Paull; Nicole Amanda McCarty; and Clay Alexander McCarty. Also, Don's sister-in-law Rachel Paull; and nieces: Kay Pike (John); Lynn Paull; and Judy Vinson (Tom).
Don Paull was preceded in death by his parents: Martha Maria Schaller Paull, and Ethra Harold Paull, as well as his brother, Richard Allan Paull.
Don Paull graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology, which led to a 45-year career in petroleum exploration and production. His rewarding profession took him from the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Everglades in the south, up through the Aleutian Arc and Cook Inlet of Alaska in the north, as well as most oil producing states in between, for what he deemed "one hell of a career!" During his career Don worked for Amoco Production, Cotton Petroleum, and Marsh Operating Company.
Don loved spending time outdoors and shared this passion with his wife, children, grandchildren, and many good friends. He enjoyed annual hunts, fishing trips, and exploring the back country on ATV's. Don and Carol traveled extensively in North America, and took several trips abroad.
Don and Carol began their love affair in 1957 up high in the Colorado Rockies on West Spanish Peak and have chosen, upon Carol's passing, to spend eternity together in the serenity of Rocky Mountain National Park. In lieu of a Memorial Service, remembrances may be written by family and friends and mailed to the Paull family home, where we will cherish hearing your thoughts and memories. Donations in Don's name may be made to: The Independence Fund; Rocky Mountain National Park; Denver Hospice; or the University of Wisconsin Paull Family Undergraduate Scholarship.
