Obituary

Stone, Margaret H., "Mimi", 69, passed away on February 11, 2017. She leaves behind her mother Nancy Leichtman, step father Jerry Leichtman, brother Rick Haentjens, children Parker (Kimberly) Stone and Carver (Lisa) Stone, and grandchildren Jack Stone and Belle Stone. She is preceded in death by her father Walter Haentjens, and her brother Grove Haentjens. Mimi was born in Hazleton, PA, graduated from Garrison Forest School, attended Bradford College, and earned a degree in sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She and her husband Larry were married in Pennsylvania in 1977, and laughed side by side until Larry's passing in 2011; now they may laugh together again.
Mimi volunteered extensively over the years with the Junior League of Denver and served on the board of Family Homestead. From 1991 to 2014, Mimi was the Director of Development at St. Anne's Episcopal School in Denver. Time after time, Mimi expressed her love and appreciation for the St. Anne's community, which brought immeasurable joy to her life. To those who knew her, she was beautiful, loving, hardworking, open minded and ever appreciative of friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, at St. Anne's Episcopal School, 2701 S. York St., Denver, CO 80210.
