The world lost a most beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend on the evening of February 1st. Karen Turner will be remembered as a mentor to many. An amazing cook. A bird watcher. A lover of all people. A friend to anyone. Her passion for others was second to none!

We are all in shock and have a huge hole as this woman's life filled such a gigantic space. We stand united as one with the family and mourn the loss of her earthly presence knowing that we will rejoice as she is at peace in Heaven.

As you all know, Karen lived simply. She would be the first to give the shirt off her back or lend you her last few bucks. This memorial fund is going directly to the Turner family to help pay for the unexpected funeral costs and other financial challenges the family may face during this time.

Karen was born in Boston, however, her parents; Helen Loretta Cox and James Leslie Cox chose to moved their children to Texas when she was 2.

Karen was preceded in death by both of her parents, James Leslie Cox and Helen Loretta Cox and her sister, Kathy Lenore Faulks.

She is survived by:

Her husband, soulmate, & best friend Richard James Turner, her children and their spouses, Leslie Ann Webb, Clayton Cody & Annie Turner, Bumper Turner, Hollie & Trey Burns and Mary Kennemur.

Her siblings, Ann Marie Cox Boden, James Cox, and JudyBug Cox.

Grandma loved each and everyone of her 10 grandchildren, Taylor Turner, Megan Webb, Michael Turner Jr., Tessa Webb, Harley Turner, James Turner, Cori Turner, Eli Riley, Toni Ackerman, & Skydon Carrasco.

Karen, loved and beloved her closest and dearest friends; Mary Orrick Williams, Tommy Humphries, Anne Clare Eady, Dede Flores, and Brenda Turner, just to name a few.

Although she only had 4 children and 7 grandchildren SO MANY, MANY more called her Mom / Grandma!
