Joe was employed by United Airlines for 40 years as Supervisor of Cargo and Ramp and retired on May 1, 1996. He performed several functions in that department and was well respected by his employees and peers. He commented often he missed the good people at work when he retired.

Joe met his wife, Verlee, at United when he was furloughed from Cleveland, Ohio in 1985. They enjoyed flying on United and coast to coast motorcycle trips. Their retirement motorcycle trip for Joe was 6, 500 miles.

Joe was faithful about exercising (walking at least 45 minutes a day). He enjoyed helping neighbors or anyone needing a hand. His hobbies were computers, woodworking, reading and exploring our beautiful country.
