Obituary

Robert Truman Brown was given by God to Daisy Viola and John Edmund Brown on June 6, 1926 at their home on 6th & Milton Avenue in Anderson, Indiana.

Bob was extremely proud to be a "Railroad Man". He retired from Rock Island Railroad after 40 years of service as an electrician.

He moved from Chicago to Denver in 2002 to be near his family. To his friends in Denver, he was known as "Chicago Bob". Bob didn't know a stranger. He made a friend wherever he went. He was a friendly, outgoing and happy person.

He met and quickly fell in love with his neighbor, Ophelia Williams. They married on October 14, 2006. They were lovingly devoted to one another. Bob was a true gentleman.

Bob kept his mind sharp by building clocks and radios and tinkering with all types of electronics. "Baritone" Bob also loved music. He enjoyed playing the piano and various instruments but he LOVED to sing. He sang in various church choirs over the years and there was hardly a day that went by when Bob didn't break out in song. On the very day of his passing, earlier that afternoon Bob sang The Lord's Prayer to one of his church sisters.

Bob was called from labor to rest on the evening of September 29, 2016 at the age of 90.

Preceding him in death are his father, John Brown; mother, Daisy Brown; and his previous wives, Marjorie Mary Brown and June Brown.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Ophelia Brown; son, Wayne Brown (and wife Shannon); son, Larry Brown; stepson Wallace Shepherd (and wife Yvonne); grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
