Upon the completion of the service here in Denver, Diane's ashes will be escorted back to Hawaii by her son Dean Calistro, for another memorial service planned for Saturday, May 14, 2016, by her own children on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii. Her ashes will be scattered at Kailua Beach Park and in the ocean where she used to waterski when she was young.

Diane's parents were Basil Kuna and Kathleen Cullen Kuna. At the tender young age of 4, she survived the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th , 1941, while coming out of a church service on the Fort Street Mall. She graduated with honors from Sacred Hearts Academy in Honolulu in 1956. Diane was married to Ralph Calistro for 14 years, before he died in a fishing accident in the Molokai Channel. They had 4 children Keith Patrick, Darren Paul, Dean Alan and Kevin Michael Calistro. Diane did a great job of raising four children by herself for several years and also holding a job as secretary at the St. Anthony's Catholic Parish. Diane has 2 sisters: Joan Gibbs of Wahiawa, HI, and Janice Indie of Glendale, AZ. She also is survived by her brother Stephen Kuna of Honolulu, Hi. Her large family resides mostly in Hawaii; where Diane was born and raised and lived for 54 years. When her husband John was State Director for the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship Int'l; Diane hosted many planning meetings, traveling evangelists, and a weekly prayer meeting at their home. Many miracles were witnessed as John and Diane prayed for the sick during most of their marriage. Diane worked with her husband John in their businesses during most of their marriage. Most recently she was the Editor of the Church & Christian Business Guide, which has been published electronically and in print in Denver, CO, for over 25 years. Diane, having read through the entire Bible many times, was a constant source of wisdom and encouragement to her husband. Most recently she prayed frequently that her husband would be successful in his work and that he would experience the fulfillment of his vision to build a much needed House of the Lord in their own community. The last major project that Diane and John worked on together was to create the preliminary plans for The Community Church & Conference Center for Green Valley Ranch, where they have lived for the last 24 years. Diane played a major role in helping to develop the vision and detailed plans for this teaching and ministry center. Their heart's desire for this center was to minister to Colorado, all of America, and the world. Diane and John both dearly loved their entire BLENDED FAMILY, which included John's children Lynne dela Cruz of Pahoa, HI, and David Witwer of Seattle, WA. Sean Witwer, now a tenured school teacher in Hawaii, is their only son by their marriage. Diane loved her role of being a Grandma and friend to John's children and John sought God's help to be a good stepfather. Throughout their marriage Diane and John prayed daily for all of their children and their families. Diane continued to pray for the sick right up to her last day on earth and miracles followed her prayers everywhere. Her husband John prays this is a worthy tribute to a great woman.
