Veronica Brennan

Veronica Brennan, 53 passed away on July 3, 2016. She was a long-time resident of Colorado, having moved here as a child with her siblings and parents, Adan Hernandez and Julianita Espinoza Hernandez. Veronica is survived by her husband Jim, son Ian and daughter Isabella as well her her sister Terri and brothers George and David. Veronica was a loving mother and wife and friend as well as a passionate advocate, speaker, educator, volunteer and literal champion to many. She was a graduate of Machebeuf HS and Colorado State University and had a long-time passion for serving the needs of individuals with disabilities as well as all persons marginalized on the fringes of society. She served on the Family Support Council for Developmental Pathways, the Program Committee for Adam's Camp, the Civic Design Team for the Arapahoe County Family Leadership Training Institute, was a presenter and facilitator for the Colorado Department of Education PEP conference, consulted with the University of Northern Colorado's School of Special Education, served on the Special Education Advisory Committee for Cherry Creek School District, the Arc of Colorado's Families in Action and Achieve With Us Film Festival commitees as well as numerous school committees. She was most recently employed as a Transition Specialist for the Arc of Arapahoe/Douglas counties. Veronica was also an avid filmmaker and photographer, often donating her time to non-profit organizations to document their events and participants. She was also the co-owner and production manager of Hooligan Nation Productions with her husband Jim, a video production company that primarily serves the needs of non profit and educational agencies. She loved watching movies with her family, reading books with her daughter and spending her precious free time with her family and friends. The funeral mass will take place at Most Precious Blood parish, 2250 S Harrison street, Denver at 10 AM on Monday July 11, with a reception for friends and family immediately following at the Skyline Ballroom in the Courtyard Marriott, 1475 S Colorado Blvd Denver.
