Celebration of Life service for Ronnie (Ron) Lance, age 58 from Castle Rock, CO will be held at 2 pm Sunday, May 15 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home in Centennial, CO. Ronnie passed away on May 11, 2016 Ronnie is survived by his wife, Carolyn Kennedy Lance; daughter Kristin Lance, son and daughter-in-law Jared and Audrey Lance; parents Carolyn and Frank Lance; brother Doug Lance; sister and brother-in-law Patti and Raymond Cunningham; brother and sister-in-law Rodney and Terri Lance; and many nieces and nephews. Ronnie received the award for Eagle Scout in 1975. He graduated from Queen City High School in 1976. In high school Ronnie was active in football, basketball, track and the one-act play. Ronnie worked part-time at the Atlanta State Park during the summers, which sparked his interest in forestry. Ronnie graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a degree in forestry and later received his Master's degree in management from Northern California University. Ronnie and Carolyn moved from Texas to Barrow, AK and later to Anchorage, AK. In 2006 Ronnie and Carolyn moved to Castle Rock, CO. Ronnie enjoyed golfing, skiing, fly fishing, and life outdoors both in Alaska and Colorado. Ronnie was the Regional Mountain City Manager for United Airlines. With United, he did fundraising for Bags of Fun, a charity that provided bags of toys and games to children who fight a life-threatening disease or condition.
