Ron Kuyper

April 3, 1955 — December 10, 2016

Ronald Gene Kuyper died peacefully on December 10, 2016. He fought a long, tough battle with cancer. He had a positive attitude and continued to smile throughout the entire time. Even through these hard times, he was never alone. Family and friends were always by his side to offer their support. Ron was born April 3, 1955 in Aurora, Colorado to amazing parents: Glenn and Alice Kuyper. At the time he was their 4th child, and would eventually be one of five siblings. Diane, Dick, Bob, and Kathy all loved their brother Ron. With all this warmth and love, it's no wonder he grew up to be such a caring and happy person who looked out for everyone without discrimination. In regards to his education: he attended Aurora Central High School and would later find himself at West Point Military Academy and Colorado School of Mines. His joy was not exclusive to his personal life as he loved his job as well. Another passion that bloomed in Ron's life was his family. Ron married Linda, the love of his life, 33 years ago in a Thanksgiving blizzard. One of the happiest days in his life was the birth of Brett Kuyper, his son. Following his own parents example, he raised Brett in a warm and loving way. The joy that he brought to the world did not stop at humans; he also had a love for dogs. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, December 17th at the Kuyper residence. It will be held between the hours of 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm in an open house format. Memories will be shared at the top of every hour. Contact any member of the Kuyper family, or call Horan & McConaty at (303) 745-4418 for the address. Please share memories & condolences with the family below.
