Patricia was born on October 13,1954 in Michigan City, IN. During her high school years, she volunteered as a ‘Candy Striper’ at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Michigan City, which started her career path in the medical field. After graduating from Elston H.S.(1972) she began taking classes to earn a Certification as a Medical Lab Tech. Her education continued, earning an Associate of Science Degree in Medical Technology from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology. In 1987 Patricia moved to Reading, PA to work at Abbott Laboratories. In1990 Patricia moved to Denver CO area where she lived and worked for several medical laboratory equipment companies, including her most recent role as Senior Field Technical Support Specialist at Cepheid of Sunnyside, CA up until her very recent illness.

Patricia’s love for family was very strong. She loved any opportunity for large family gatherings that gave her time to catch up with beloved Aunts, Uncles and many of her 27 cousins. Patricia had a great sense of humor and all who knew her were always happy to hear her wonderful laugh! She made friends where ever she was, and she valued every one of her friendships. She was very well loved by co-workers and clients throughout her careers. Her giving nature was also evident with the many charities she supported throughout her life.

Patricia’s family and friends will always remember her as a kind, caring and generous person. Patricia’s faith ran very deep and the spirit of stewardship was clearly a way of life for her. She volunteered at her church at their bookstore and also with the Religious Education classes. In much of her spare time she could be found knitting hats for newborns or knitting shawls for hospital and nursing home patients. She enjoyed listening to music and for those who knew her well, they will always remember her when they hear a John Denver, Neil Diamond or Barry Manilow song.
