Nina Lance

Nina Lance passed away on June 25, 2016 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Samuel J. Lance. Nina was born in Dill, Oklahoma on December 30, 1928. She married Sam on April 21, 1951. Shortly thereafter, Sam was recalled to the Air Force and they traveled the world with the military. Nina leaves behind two daughters, Kathleen Lance Deitering of Topeka, Kansas and Donna L. Lance of Castle Pines, Colorado, two grandchildren Shawn Robison and Kristen Gorsky, and three great grandchildren. Nina taught high school English for many years. She was admired by colleagues and students. She received an award from Yale University for the quality of students who completed her classes. The plaque was proudly displayed in her home. After Nina retired in 1991, she and Sam moved to Arizona and made the most of their retirement years. They played golf during the day and dined with friends in the evenings at their club. Recently, Nina resided at Lincoln Meadows Senior Living community in Parker, CO. There will be a memorial celebration of Nina's life at Lincoln Meadows on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 2:00 in the community room. Lincoln Meadows is located at 10001 S. Oswego, Parker, CO 80134.
