Marietta Hein, a Denver native, died on November 6, 2016, after a short battle with acute myeloid leukemia. She was 77. She was the daughter of the late Eileen and Walter Angerer. She graduated from St. Francis DeSales high school and attended St. Mary's College in Leavenworth, Kansas. She worked for Braniff Airline in Kansas City and, after returning to Denver, she worked as physical education teacher at Notre Dame Elementary School and then in various positions for the Denver Public Schools. She also served in various volunteer organizations. She is survived by her husband George, her sons, Kevin and his wife Patti, Brian and his wife Nicole, and nine grandchildren - Kaley, Kendall, Dakota, Brooklyn, Bailey, Sophia, and Lucas. She also has two step grandchildren, Hannah and Lauren. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen and Vince Cirielllo, of New York; and her brother, Tom Angerer and his wife, Patty, of Boulder. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kerrie. In addition to a deep love for her family and friends, Marietta was passionate about the Denver Broncos and the Christmas season. A memorial mass will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on December 9th, at 10:00 am. A reception will follow. The church is located at 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd. Denver, CO 80227. In acknowledgement of her love for the Broncos and Christmas, the family requests that those attending the memorial mass wear their favorite Broncos attire or festive Christmas attire.
