Marie Cameron

May 25, 1915 — February 7, 2017

Marie Cameron, 101, passed away on February 7, 2017 at Cardan Manor Assisted Living. Born May 25, 1915 in Poland, she later lived in France until she married a US Army soldier and immigrated to the United States after World War II. Marie was an amazingly strong person, who was full of laughter and smiles. She loved being an army wife and the army lifestyle. After that, she lived a simple life, enjoyed being a homemaker, taking pride in gardening, growing flowers and vegetables for her family. Her life was full with the simple things and she had such gratitude for everything that she had. Marie had a beautiful relationship with her daughter. Over the years, they would spend time together traveling and visiting Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean and beautiful Colorado. Some of Marie's fondest memories were traveling with her daughter. Although Marie never learned to drive, that did not stop her from being a provider for her family. She enjoyed taking long walks to run her errands and lived independently until she was 98. She lived with her daughter Patricia for the next three years until her final stay at Cardan Manor. Survivors include her daughter Patricia Cameron of Denver.
