Marian Womack-Hammond

Marian Womack-Hammond passed away on December 26, 2017 in Arvada, CO. She was 74 years old. Born on January 31, 1943 in Denver CO, the daughter of Rosemary and Lester Poulson. She lived most of her life in Empire and spent summers selling train tickets at the Georgetown Loop, and winters cashier at Loveland Ski Area Cafe. Other jobs included working at the Empire Post Office, Clear Creek County Clerk office, Alpine Inn, Georgetown Rock Shops. She was a 1960 graduate of Idaho Springs High School. Marian is survived by her brother Harry Poulson, sons Ron Henson (Dawn), Bernard Henson (Tamara), Joe Henson (Laura), Willie Womack, daughter Laura Prather (John); 10 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John Hammond, her parents and other loved ones. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2017 at Foothills Community Church at 8270 W 80th Ave # 2, Arvada, CO 80005. This will be a celebratory gathering in which the family invites you to bring a dish to share and enjoy time to remember Marian and her love of life. Visitation will be held on Friday January 12, 2018 at 8:30am at Horan & McConaty, 7577 80th Avenue, Arvada CO 80003. A Graveside will follow at 11:30am at Empire Cemetery, Empire Colorado.
