Margaret C. Steuart

June 4, 1937 — March 10, 2018

Margaret C. Steuart, “Margie,” passed away March 10, 2018 at the age of 80 while surrounded by those who loved her. Margie is survived by her daughters Theresa, Lori and Karan and sons Kirk, Joseph and Steven, her sisters Patty and Jeanne and her brother Mark. Margie is also survived by her son-in-law Patrick and Patrick & Lori’s children Brian, Michael and Carissa; also, Karan’s children Stella and Johnny. Margie also had 3 great grandchildren, Silas, Aislynn and Paxton who she was eternally grateful to for making her “great.” Family was the most important part of Margie’s life and she will be dearly missed. Margie was born on June 4, 1937 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Denver. She attended grade school at St John’s and High School at St Francis. Margie worked hard her entire life and retired as a Deli Manager from Safeway. Margie loved all family time and especially time with her grandchildren. From picking raspberries in her back yard to “bumming” at the mall she loved spending time with the kids. Margie refused to “babysit,” but would gladly hang out while the parents were away. Margie also loved to travel and traveled abroad to Ireland & Great Britain, Mexico and Rome with her family and had countless domestic trips. A memorial service will be held at the Horan & McConaty located at 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd in Lakewood, CO at 2pm on March 17th, 2018. Margie would have preferred no better day than St. Patrick’s Day to celebrate her life. Wear green in her honor. Flowers are of course welcome, but if you would like to make a donation in Margie’s name, please consider Operation TBI Freedom at Craig Hospital in support of Veterans and Active Duty Military with Traumatic Brain Injury: https://craighospital.org/programs/operation-tbi-freedom Please share your condolences with her family by signing the guestbook below.
