Margaret F. Bellmar

Margaret Frawley Bellmar, 101, passed away peacefully in her sleep June 16th, 2016. Margaret was filled with Irish wit and charm and lived a long and glorious life. She was irresistible to all who met her. Margaret lived life quietly and with a strong faith and enormous love for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Margaret was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado and moved to Denver in her late teens to attend business school. She was employed at Public Service as an executive secretary where she met her future husband, Fred C. Bellmar. Once married, Margaret happily maintained her role as homemaker and mother. Margaret, along with Fred, was an early Colorado ski pioneer. She was also a Bronco season ticket holder (since 1962) and avid fan, attending games well into her 90s. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred C. Bellmar in 1980. She is survived by her son, Richard K. Bellmar (Lise), her grandchildren Jon McClain, Chris McClain (Larina), Cammie Latta (Buck), her five great-grandchildren Brandy, Hannah, Sophia, Kiera and Flynn, and her loving nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held on June 28th at 7pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd in Denver. A funeral mass will be held at Mother of God Catholic Church, 475 Logan Street, Denver at 10am on June 29th with a reception following at the Denver Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities Denver, 4045 Pecos Street, Denver 80211, or the Colorado Ski Museum-Ski Hall of Fame, 231 South Frontage Rod East, Vail, 81657.
