Lucy Dikeou

Lucy Sharp Dikeou passed November 10, 2016, peacefully. She was born in 1937 in Lexington, Kentucky, to Lucy Johnson Sharp and James Marshall Sharp. She was a graduate of University High, attended the University of Kentucky, before transferring to the University of Colorado. She was member of the sorority, Kappa Aphla Theta, as well as a Marlboro Girl. She married and later divorced, John Panayes Dikeou, she is mother of two children, Panayes John Dikeou and Devon Antigone Dikeou. She was a founding partner of D&D Construction, building several spec houses in south Denver, Genesee, and the Evergreen areas. Decor was her passion as exemplified in own residences in Denver, Aspen, and Vail--where she also acted as general contractor so that she could keenly oversee every detail. She served on the Denver Debutante Ball Committee for several years and was responsible for the Brown Palace Hotel Christmas decorations during those years of committee membership. To this day, many of those decorations echo her vision. She was a member of the Junior League of Denver, as well as the Idle Hour Country Club, Lexington, and Maroon Creek Club, Aspen. An avid bridge player, she also loved the arts, antiques and in particular fashion, as well as was a cook with Cordon Bleu and Gritti Palace credentials. And she was a Brownie Leader, troop 52. She is survived by her children, their spouses Riisa Dikeou and Fernando Troya and her grandchildren, Remy, Pete, Lucy, and Chloe Dikeou, and her brothers Brown, Bobby, and Steve Sharp.A Memorial was held in Denver on Saturday.
