Lois Moffitt

October 17, 1928 — May 22, 2016

Lois Moffitt, age 87, of Brighton, CO passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016. She was the loving wife of Lloyd S. Moffitt for 68 years. She spent her life showing others what love was, through her unselfish service in the form of hugs, smiles, a listening ear, a word of advice, a baked treat or meal, a good laugh or most important, an all-encompassing acceptance. No one fell outside her circle of love. The love Lois had for her fellow man was only surpassed by, and was a reflection of, her love of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints including Relief Society President and Young Women's President. She served an LDS mission with her loving husband for 18 months in Taipei Taiwan. When they returned from Taiwan, they served in the Los Angeles California and Denver Colorado Temples for many years. Born October 17, 1928 in Hiawatha, UT, she was one of nine children to the late Pierce and Hilda (Gilbert) Wilson. Lois and Lloyd were married in Huntington, UT, on July 1, 1948 and were sealed for time and eternity in the Manti Utah Temple on September 19, 1949. She is survived by her husband Lloyd, her three sons, Bert L. Moffitt and his wife, Gaye, Stuart K. Moffitt and his wife, Pamela, Bruce L. Moffitt and his wife, Carolyn; a son in law, Sheril Torgersen; nineteen grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Ruby Rowley, Lila Nielsen and her husband, Scott, Rex Wilson, Dean Wilson and his wife, Norma, Enid Baker and her husband, Keith, Max Wilson and his wife, Ruth. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Shelley Torgersen; and siblings, June Wilson, Beulah ""Willie"" Nelson. A Funeral Service will take place at Two O'clock in the Afternoon on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - 13370 Lowell Boulevard, Broomfield, Colorado.
