In the '20s her father had a home built at the corner of 42nd and Green Ct. She graduated from St. Catherine's of Sienna grade school in 1936, and a Holy Family High graduate of 1940. She attended Barnes Business College. After meeting her husband Paul Bertollt on a blind date and being courted, they moved into the house on W. 45th Ave. in 1946. They bought her Grandmothers house from her mother for 10 dollars and other good and valuable consideration in 1954 a whole two and a half blocks from where she grew up. She helped start the St. Catherine's credit union, was a credit union manager for White Crown Credit Union (Standard Oil), then for almost 25 years managed the Denver Texaco Employees Federal Credit Union. Along the way she was a waitress, seamstress, baker, volunteer campaigner, den mother, neighborhood mother, fried bread supplier, noodle maker.........and a great friend. She received from her friends in high school during one of their luncheons of the longest living in the same house. Her energetic personality, great dancing, good naturedness and a laugh were contagious to all who met her. A fabulous cook, world traveler and great friend will be missed but not forgotten.
