Kathryn Wallace

August 16, 1944 — January 6, 2017

Kathryn Jehle Wallace passed away peacefully at home after a yearlong battle with cancer. Kathy was born to Lawrence Thomas Jehle and Avielene Wells Jehle in Portsmouth, Virginia, on August 16, 1944. Raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Kathy attended Saint Mary's of Loretto School and Catholic High School. Upon graduation from the University of Alabama, Kathy moved to Denver where she met her husband David and had a successful career in hospital administration at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver. Even though Kathy was born in the South, Colorado became her true home and she was most happy there. She loved the mountains and the snow, enjoyed snowshoeing and was an avid walker. She enjoyed children and it became her tradition to host ice cream parties for them. She loved to travel, had many friends, and touched many lives. We thank our Lord and Savior for her life. She is survived by her husband David, brothers Lawrence Thomas Jehle, Jr. (Becky), Ralph Jehle (Judith), sister-in-law Loretta (JP), many cousins and many friends. Services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 1.00 p.m. in the chapel of Christ the King Catholic Church, 830 Elm St., Denver, CO. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Kathy's honor to hopewestco.org. Please share condolences and memories of Kathy with the family by signing the guestbook below.
