Jack Wollenhaupt

Jack Wollenhaupt of Arvada, Colorado passed away on September 28, 2014 at the age of 88. He was born in Denver, CO on April 20, 1926, the 3rd child of Loretta and Ed Wollenhaupt. He graduated from East High School in 1944 and served in the US Navy V5 Flight Program from 1944-1945. He married Gloria Morrison on June 11, 1946. Jack graduated from the University of Denver with an electrical engineering degree in 1948. He worked as an industrial engineer with the General Electric Company until his retirement in 1987. He was preceded in death by his sister Maxine Reed, brother Don and granddaughter Remi Garner. Survived by his wife Gloria, brother Bill (Mary), sons Steve and David (Margaret), daughter Joani (Grant) Garner, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church, 7400 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. A reception honoring Jack will be held immediately following the Memorial Mass The Committal service will follow the reception at 2:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado.
